Hi! My name is Leslie Bailey. I’m a journalist and former blonde who loves style, travel, cooking, open wheel racing, and extra dirty martinis (with three olives, please). My favorite movie is Dirty Dancing and I’m an Aquarius but my moon is in Leo although I’m not quite sure what that means exactly.
I’m the full-time Adventuress at The Indianapolis Star. My work has been featured in Autoweek, Virgin Australia’s in-flight magazine, Voyeur, Indianapolis Monthly, and DoingIndy.com. I’m also the author of the Indianapolis City Guide on design*sponge.
I detest cilantro and black licorice – in fact, I don’t even like the way licorice is spelled. I have really neat handwriting. I get my best ideas whilst showering. Yes, I’m allowed to say “whilst” because I’m a half-Brit.
I have been quoted in The Wall Street Journal and Penthouse Magazine (true story).
I live in Indianapolis, a city
with which I maintain an incredibly healthy love/hate relationship I love dearly and reside in with my two rescue cats, Dr. Alfred Sanchez, III and Mrs. Parilla McGilvery.
Feel free to contact me. I love making new friends.
